Dear Marla, 

o   It's about a mile riding the driveway to the mailbox at the public road. 

o   We often return by another route - a trail -  that brings us by the grating which I need to check.  This where the water goes into the 4" pipe that runs a 100 years down the generator shack near the house. Sometimes there is a build up of twigs and other debris on the grating. It's my job to make sure that the water flows into the pipe unimpeded.
